I have been a pilot for over 35 years, and an aircraft owner almost as long. Living on an airport and having an aircraft hangar as an extension of my home has been a dream most of my life. I have always been interested in any property that would offer this. I still hope to achieve this before I retire. It is totally irrational that these be deemed incompatible land use. These types of airport communities help support and provide security to the airport. I do agree that there should be guidelines to providing TTF agreements, but to ban them outright is stupid, and will cause harm to many airports around the country. This is the same thing as to not allowing personal vehicles stored at private residences access to Federally Funded Highways.
Also I have been throwing a tent and sleeping bag in my plane since high school and traveling the country. The banning of camping facilities on airports is also inconceivable. What's next, ban all recreational activates at Federally funded lakes?
